YOUR PATIENT GUIDE

Feel informed.
Feel more at ease.

A little preparation can help you make the most of your consultation. Take your time, ask questions and make a decision that feels right for you.

Request a consultation
01

Before your visit

Write down your concerns and the changes you hope to discuss. Bring relevant medical reports and a list of medicines, supplements, allergies and previous procedures.

02

In your consultation

Ask about your surgeon’s experience, alternatives to treatment, likely limitations, risks and where your procedure would take place. You should have time to understand the proposed plan.

03

Planning your recovery

Discuss time away from work, help at home, travel and follow-up appointments. Ask who to contact if you have a concern after your procedure.

04

Understanding costs

Request a written quotation and ask what is included, such as facility, anaesthesia and follow-up costs. Check any medical aid requirements directly with your scheme.

ROOM FOR YOUR QUESTIONS

Clarity matters.
At every step.

How do I arrange a consultation?

Choose your preferred practice and send an enquiry through WhatsApp, or call reception. The team will confirm the available appointment dates and consultation fee.

Do I need to know which treatment I want?

No. You can start with the concern you would like to discuss. Your consultation is an opportunity to explore appropriate options, including choosing not to have treatment.

Will my medical aid cover treatment?

Cover depends on your scheme, your clinical circumstances and the proposed treatment. Ask your scheme about its requirements and obtain written authorisation where needed. Cosmetic treatment may not be covered.

How much recovery time should I allow?

This depends on the procedure and your individual circumstances. Discuss work, exercise, travel, support at home and follow-up visits with your surgeon before making plans.
